Sir Samuel Wadham Rural Students Scholarship
The Sir Samuel Wadham Rural Students Scholarship was established to assist students in financial need relocating from a rural area to study at the University of Melbourne.
Benefits
The Sir Samuel Wadham Rural Students Scholarship provides an annual allowance of approximately $5,000. The final amount will be confirmed at the time of awarding and paid in two half-yearly installments for the full-time duration of the course.
Eligibility
To be considered for this scholarship, you must:

be a student who has relocated from a rural area to study at the University of Melbourne no more than 12 months prior to your application for the scholarship;

be enrolled or planning to enrol in a degree course at the University of Melbourne in any area of study other than agriculture with at least twelve months of full-time study remaining to complete their course.

be in need of financial assistance
Application
You must submit an online Student Financial Assistance Application by the closing date. If you already have submitted an application in the last six months you do not need to apply again.
Selection
The scholarship is offered to eligible applicants on the basis of financial need.
Outcome
Students will be notified of the outcome of their application by 30 June. Reasons for non-selection and feedback on individual applications will not be provided.
