Class of 1976 Scholarship

The Class of 1976 Scholarship is awarded to a student from Noble Park Secondary College or surrounding government schools to undertake an undergraduate degree at the University of Melbourne.

The University usually awards one scholarship per year.

The Class of 1976 Scholarship provides an allowance of $15,000 per year for the normal full-time duration of the recipient's Bachelor degree course. Each year the allowance is paid in two instalments in April and September.

To be considered for The Class of 1976 Scholarship, you must:

  • be an Australian citizen or permanent resident,
  • have completed Year Twelve in Australia,
  • have applied for and meet the requirements for a University of Melbourne course for commencement in the year following completion of Year 12, and
  • not have been awarded results for subjects undertaken as part of a degree course at a tertiary institution in Australia.

You do not need to submit an application for this scholarship. All students who have applied for admission to the University via VTAC will be automatically considered.

Eligible candidates are selected on the basis of academic merit. Preference will be given to students who completed high school at Noble Park Secondary College. If there are no eligible students from Noble Park Secondary College, preference will be given to students from other government schools within an incremental 5km radius of Noble Park Secondary College.

Scholarship offers are made a few days after the Victorian Year 12 ATAR results are released in December.
