Ronald John Gleghorn Bursary

The Ronald John Gleghorn Bursary was established with a bequest by the late Ronald John Gleghorn.

The bursary is awarded to students undertaking a graduate research degree in the fields of Rheumatoid Arthritis and/or Varicose Veins.

This scholarship is one of several trust-funded scholarships available through the Faculty of Medicine, Dentistry and Health Sciences for students who have applied for, or are enrolled in a graduate research degree of the faculty.


The duration of the scholarship is up to 1 year. The scholarship provides a fortnightly allowance of approximately $26,916 per year (pro rata).


To be considered for this scholarship, you must:

  • be applying for or enrolled in a graduate research degree in the Faculty of Medicine,Dentistry and Health Sciences, and researching in the fields of Rheumatoid Arthritis and/or Varicose Veins.
  • satisfy the faculty's eligibility standards for course and scholarship.


You must apply for this scholarship by submitting an application form. (Link for the application form will be provided when the scholarship is open for applications)


Eligible candidates are selected by the Faculty Research Training Committee on the basis of academic merit and the terms of the trust.


Successful candidates will be advised of the outcome of their application according to the Faculty's published timelines.
