George Lansell Memorial Scholarship

The George Lansell Memorial Scholarship was established by Mrs Edith Lansell in commemoration of her late husband, George Lansell, who was a mining pioneer and largely responsible for introducing the diamond drill to quartz mining in Australia. George was famous in his hometown of Bendigo for his tireless efforts to maintain the mining industry to provide employment and was a strong supporter of local charities.

The preference is for scholarship to be awarded to assist in the funding of field work, however it could also be granted as a living stipend.
