New Colombo Plan Grant

Funded by the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT), New Colombo Plan mobility program provides funding, in the form of grants, to Australian universities to support Australian undergraduate students to participate in semester based or short term study, internships, practicums and research in the Indo-Pacific region.

Funding is awarded directly to faculty or Melbourne Global Mobility, you will be advised if your overseas program is eligible for NCP mobility funding.  

New Colombo Plan Scholarships are advertised on the Melbourne Global Mobility or the Australian Government New Colombo Plan website.


Benefits

Semester long study grants of between $4000 to $7000 are available for study in sem 2 2017 and sem 1 2018 to the following cities.

Shanghai
Tokyo
Seoul
Singapore
Taiwan
Bangkok
Indonesia (range of city locations)

Eligibility

Australian citizens

Enrolled in an undergraduate UoM course

Not received an NCP grant previously

Students awarded an NCP grant are not eligible to receive a Melbourne Global Scholars award (MGSA) for the same overseas program

Other criteria as listed on the MGM website

 

Application

Students will be invited to apply for the relevant grant following confirmation from Melbourne Global Mobility of your place on exchange for the relevant study period.
